Root and Soar Together’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. This is very tender and sensitive work. How do I know if you are a right Death Doula/ Reiki Practitioner/ Grief Tending / Spiritual Counselor for me?

A. My approach is rooted in radical love, built on four principles: inner alignment, embodiment, presence, and inner sovereignty. My role is to hold a container for your wholeness — tending your wounds and losses, supporting you in releasing toxic beliefs and habits, and welcoming in practices aligned with love and vitality. Here's a closer look at each principle:

  • Inner alignment over external approval means being authentic to who you came here to be; wholeness, validating yourself and your experiences, aligning with love over fear

  • Embodiment over expectation means letting go of attachment to outcomes. Enjoyment of the process, the journey of life in your body breathing in the present moment tuned into your senses

  • Presence over performance means the ability to slow down and be still. To welcome in the messiness of life–the full spectrum of human emotions and experiences—which seek to be seen and not judged or “fixed.” To allow for courage and compassion with how you respond

  • Inner-sovereignty over security means cultivating your unique tools  for living; practices and rituals for repair, wellbeing and trustful surrender to access your center every step of the way

Q.  Are your services covered by employers or insurance?

A. I offer professional development for human services professionals, including Reiki Training (Reiki 1, Reiki 2, and Reiki Master) — often eligible for full reimbursement through employer training benefits. I also design custom trainings, workshops, and retreats tailored to your organization's needs, which can typically be covered by team professional development budgets. For individual services like leadership coaching, I can issue receipts for employer reimbursement. My services are not currently covered by health insurance.

Q. Who are your ideal clients?

A. Lifelong learners committed to service — sensitive, creative people seeking peace, aliveness, and expansiveness.

Q. Can I work with you and my therapist/other practitioner(s) simultaneously?

A. Yes, this is welcomed! Root and Soar Together’s  services are beautifully complementary with other forms of therapy.  Clients report that Root and Soar Together services are unique and enrich the growth and healing they are doing in therapy or with other modalities.

Q. What ages do you work with? Do you offer family or couples sessions?

A. I've worked professionally with people ages 12–102, and I love finding creative ways to connect. For family sessions, the key is that everyone wants to be there and shares the goal of building trust and connection.
